We offer daily light housekeeping (in-season, only). Our housekeepers will replace towels & supplies and remove trash. For extended stays, our housekeepers will change sheets and clean your unit every three or four days (depending upon the length of your stay).
Shady Lane is a family-oriented resort. It is not a party campground. Please drink responsibly.
- No loud music anytime. Music off at sunset.
- 10 p.m. – 6 a.m. quiet hours will be strictly enforced. Sorry, no visitors during quiet hours.
- No loud profane or abusive language outdoors.
- No fireworks.
- Please place coolers on the porches of cabins, or on vinyl bathroom floors in motel rooms.
- Please don’t use our linens to clean boots, remove make-up, or clean vehicles. We have hundreds of rags available for your use – just ask.
- Unfortunately, we do not allow pets in Story's Creek Manor, cabins or motel rooms. If a pet is found, there will be a $150 charge for cleaning and exterminating. Visiting pets must be kept on a leash at all times.
- Do not move furniture or take beds apart - it will destroy our furniture and damage our walls.
- Please place overflow trash bags near trash barrels.
- Please do not use hot plates indoors. You may use hot plates outdoors.
- No refund for early departure. Check-out time is 11 a.m.
- We are not responsible for accidents, or damage or loss of personal property.
- We reserve the right to count people and check for violations of our policies.
We are sincere in our commitment to you and your comfort and we want your stay at Shady Lane to be a pleasant one. Your payment at check-in ensures that you will have fully maintained equipment and supplies. We will promptly repair or replace faulty equipment and address your concerns. We get many compliments about the cleanliness of our facilities - if you feel that anything does not meet your expectations, please let us know immediately. On the other hand, if you are satisfied with our housekeeping staff, please extend your compliments to them. We will not rectify problems at check-out time. It is important that you bring any concerns to our attention, immediately. We are available for late night minor emergencies (overflowing toilets, air conditioners, and etc) and our phone number is 573-226-3893. We live on the property and will be here in a few minutes. Call the Shannon County Sheriff’s Dept at 573-226-3615 with major emergencies (health, legal, trouble on the river, or other).
